Subject:Banning puppyland in Renton
Hi Danielle,
Is the public able to join the virtual meeting tomorrow about banning puppyland? I am very interested in listening in.
As a resident of Renton I am 100% in favor of banning this pet store that is directly sourced from puppy mills. Puppy
mills exploit the sale of animals and do not consider basic needs. These dogs are neglected and abused all to produce
puppies, which there is already an extreme overpopulation of. Individuals and families wanting to purchase a puppy
have many other outlets available to do so. Access is available for all people to be able to support the local humane
society or a rescue which have pretty much unlimited choices for finding the right dog.
Banning this store would show that Renton does not tolerate inhumane practices. Renton needs to join other cities in
Washington by supporting the humane pet store ordinance. I encourage the city council to be responsible and make the
right decision, standing up for those who can't speak and have been exploited only for money.
