Please share the following email with the entire commission.
My name is Taryn Dry and I am a community member in the city of Renton. I am in support of the humane ordinance as
is.
When it comes down to it, pet stores are a business. Businesses want to make money, so it’s no longer about the well‐
being of the animals.
I do support only allowing pet stores to offer space for animal shelters and rescues to showcase adoptable animals. This
will ensure that rescues and shelters would still be responsible for completing the adoption process and the city is not
tasked with trying to monitor dog breeds.
