Please stop allowing dogs or cats to be sold in stores in our area. Selling pets in shops enables large-scale breeding
operations, and since these breeders cannot operate legally in Washington state, pets sold in our stores are crated here
from long distances away, Large scale breeders focus on making profits, and the pets that they produce are born from
confined parents. They are not socialized when they are young, which leads to behavioral problems. These pets often
have medical issues due to inbreeding. Because large scale breeders produce too many pets, millions are euthanized
every year. By allowing businesses to sell these animals in our area, we are funding these inhumane animal mills. We
cannot allow this to happen.
