Hello: I read that you held your public hearing pertaining to retail pet sales.
Apparently you added in 1) Documentation to be submitted with the affidavit to
ensure accuracy and compliance, and 2) Breeder disclosure required in store, as well
as online (website & social media).
I believe that the requirements introduced will be a step in the right direction.
I'm writing to express my support and request that you shorten the time frame before this
ordinance goes into effect.
Currently it would not go into effect until July 2023, and existing businesses are not being
asked to change their business model; they are simply being asked to provide transparency
to customers. 90 days should be more than enough time to learn what documentation will
be required for sales.
