1. ALL NEW PLANTING AREAS SHALL HAVE AN AUTOMATIC IRRIGATION
SYSTEM WITH FULL COVERAGE FOR PLANT ESTABLISHMENT.
2. ALL PLANT MATERIALS SHALL BE ADAPTABLE TO THE SITE CONDITIONS
AND SHALL MEET THE MOST RECENT AMERICAN STANDARDS FOR NURSERY
STOCK (ANSI 760.1). TREES ARE LISTED ON THE CITY OF RENTON
"APPROVED TREE LIST."
3. MINIMUM TREE REQUIREMENTS:
2A ALL TREES SHALL BE LISTED ON THE CITY OF RENTON "APPROVED
TREE LIST."
2.1 INTERIOR PARKING LOTS, PERIMETER PARKING LOTS, STREET TREES
AND REPLACEMENT TREES: 2 IN. DIA. MIN.
2.3 STREET TREE SPACING: 30 FT. O.C.
2.4 ONE TREE SHALL BE PLANTED FOR EVERY SIX PARKING SPACES
WITHIN THE INTERIOR LOT.
Cl MINIMUM SHRUB REQUIREMENTS:
3.1 MIN. 2 GAL CONTAINER
3.2 INTERIOR PARKING LOTS, PERIMETER PARKING LOTS, AND STREET
FRONTAGE: 1 SHRUB PER 20 SO FT. OFLANDSCAPED AREA
3.3 INTERIOR PARKING LOTS, PERIMETER PARKING LOTS, AND STREET
FRONTAGE: UP TO 50% MAY BE DECIDUOUS.
5. MINIMUM GROUNDCOVER REQUIREMENTS:
4.1 MIN. 4 IN. POTS, TRIANGULAR SPACING, 90% COVERAGE IN 3 YEARS.
6. WHERE GROUNDCOVER IS INDICATED, IT SHALL BE PLANTED AT THE
SPECIFIED SPACING THROUGHOUT THE BED, INCLUDING AREAS
UNDERNEATH TREES AND SHRUBS. START FIRST ROW 10" FROM EDGE OF
BED.
7. A TOTAL OF 8 IN. DEPTH TOPSOIL RICH IN ORGANIC MATERIAL SHALL BE
INSTALLED IN ALL NEW LANDSCAPE AREAS.
8. A TOTAL OF 3 IN. DEPTH MULCH SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ALL NEW TREE,
SHRUB AND GROUNDCOVER AREAS.
9. SLOPES SHALL NOT EXCEED 3:1 FOR LAWN AREAS AND 2:1 FOR OTHER
PLANTED AREAS.
10. ALL LANDSCAPE AREAS SHALL HAVE ADEQUATE DRAINAGE.
EXISTING TREE PROTECTION NOTES:
1. PRIOR TO DEVELOPMENT ACTIVITIES, THE CONTRACTOR SHALL PROVIDE
TREE PROTECTION MEASURES IN ACCORDANCE WITH RMC 4.4.130.H FOR
ALL EXISTING TREES SHOWN TO BE SAVED. REFER TO CIVIL PLANS FOR
TREE PROTECTION LOCATIONS, DETAILS, AND SPECIFICATIONS.
2. A CERTIFIED ARBORIST OR LANDSCAPE ARCHITECT SHALL MONITOR THE
CONSTRUCTION ACTIVITIES THAT ARE NECESSARY WITHIN THE TREE
DRIPLINES.
3. WRITTEN NEED FOR REMOVAL OR REVISED ANDSCAPE AND
CLEARING/GRADING PLANS SHALL BE REVIEWED AND APPROVED BY
CURRENT PLANNING PROJECT MANAGER PRIOR TO CONSTRUCTION PERMIT
APPROVAL.
