Reviewed By LAC Initials/Date SSR Initials/Date Field Supervisor Project Manager Limitations: The presence of our field representative at the site is to provide our client with a source of professional advice, opinions, and recommendations based upon the field representative’s observations and testing of the contractor’s work. Our services do not include supervision or direction of the contractor, their employees, or agents. Geotechnical recommendations for obtaining project objectives may be made by our representatives; however, direction of the actual work should come from the owner or contractor, as appropriate. The contractor is responsible for complying with the contract documents at all times, regardless of the presence of our field representative. Jobsite safety, including compliance with all applicable state or federal regulations, is the sole responsibility of the contractor. The observations, recommendations, and conclusions provided in this field report are preliminary until reviewed by the ESNW project manager. As requested by the client, ESNW rep was onsite to observe and document wall backfill at the Weatherly Inn development. Wall Backfill: ESNW rep arrived onsite and observed contractor had backfilled the remaining section of the wall with 5/8-inch clean crushed rock. ESNW rep observed contractor had backfilled both sides of the wall (pictured). ESNW rep observed contractor had placed 12-feet to 14-feet of clean crushed rock along the north side of the wall, and 4 to 5-feet of backfill along the south side of the wall. ESNW rep observed the wall had been backfilled to grade. ESNW rep will return as requested by the client for further observation and testing. Fig. 1: Wall backfilled with clean crushed rock Backfill
