THE INFORMATION BELOW IS TAKEN FROM THE GEOTECHNICAL ENGINEERING
REPORT PREPARED BY TERRACON CONSULTANTS, INC. DATED JUNE 21, 2018 AND
IS FOR REFERENCE PURPOSES ONLY. CONTRACTOR SHALL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR
REVIEWING AND COMPLYING WITH ALL RECOMMENDATIONS OUTLINED IN THE
GEOTECHNICAL REPORT.
1. POSSIBLE STATIC SETTLEMENTS AND LIQUEFACTION IN THE EVENT OF AN
EARTHQUAKE IS PRESENT. IT IS RECOMMENDED THAT THE BUILDING BE
SUPPORTED ON SMALL DIAMETER (PIN) PILES OR THAT GROUND
IMPROVEMENT SUCH AS AGGREGATE PIERS BE UTILIZED TO IMPROVE
FOUNDATION SOILS.
2. OVER -EXCAVATION SHOULD EXTEND TO 2 FEET BELOW THE BOTTOM OF THE
PAVEMENT SECTION. GEOTEXTILE (MIRAFI 500X) SHOULD BE PLACED
DIRECTLY ON SUBGRADE TO PROVIDE SEPARATION BETWEEN THE SOFT
SUBGRADE AND STRUCTURAL FILL. PLACE AND COMPACT 2 FEET OF
STRUCTURAL FILL ABOVE THE GEOTXTILE.
3. ALL GRADES MUST PROVIDE EFFECTIVE DRAINAGE AWAY FROM THE BUILDING
DURING AND AFTER CONSTRUCTION.
