CITY OF RENTON NOTICE OF ENVIRONMENTAL DETERMINATION
ENVIRONMENTAL REVIEW COMMITTEE
RENTON, WASHINGTON
The environmental Review Committee has issued a Determination o f Non-Significance (DNS) for the following non-project
under the authority of the Renton municipal code:
Surface Water Design Manual Update
LUA22-000146, ECF
Location: Citywide. The applicant is requesting Environmental (SEPA) Review to review for the following non -project item: #D-
208-This update is driven by the requirement to adopt a manual equivalent to the 2019 Ecology Stormwater Management
Manual for Western Washington. In the last update, Renton adopted the King County Stormwater Design Manual with
amendments. Because the current updates are not substantial, the updates will be directly to our manual rather than adopting
a new manual and amending it. An example of the updates is to define duplexes as single-family and clarifying which types of
stormwater facilities are prohibited within aquifer protection areas.
A 14-day appeal period will follow the issuance of the DNS. More information regarding the appeal process may be obtained
from the Renton City Clerkâs Office, (425) 430-6510 or cityclerk@rentonwa.gov. Per WAC197-11-340(2)(c) any person, affected
tribe, or agency may submit comments to the City within fourteen days of the date of issuance of the DNS. Please submit
