THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED:
AESI arrived on site in the morning at the request of the Mark Seek. While on site, we met with Mark Seek with Tiger Mountain
Homes. AESI departed the site in the morning and will return upon request.
Lot 4 Building Foundation Excavation:
Prior to our arrival, the contractor excavated for Lot 4 building foundation subgrade (Photograph 1, Figure 1). The contractor had
excavated approximately 10’ deep from existing grade. AESI was informed that the contractor would place and compacted
approximately 5’ to 6’ of recycle concrete spalls to return to proposed subgrade. AESI observed and assessed the subgrade with a ½”
diameter steel soil probe. Exposed materials consisted of silty sands. In our opinion this area was firm, unyielding, and ready for
backfill. AESI recommended removing loose overburden material that may accumulate in the bottom of the excavation prior to
backfilling. Mark Seek (the contractor) will remove the the loose material which may accumulate in the bottom of the excavation
prior to backfill.
AESI departed the site in the AM and will return upon request.
