THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED:
Associated Earth Sciences Inc. (AESI) was on site, as requested, to observe building footing subgrade preparation. Upon arrival, we
met with representatives from Cornerstone and Continental Dirt Contractors (CDC).
Building Footing Subgrade Preparation:
Upon arrival, CDC was preparing footings in Area A and B for the future school building. At planned footing subgrade elevation, a moist
to very moist, gray to orange, sand with silt (native till) was observed. Using a ½-inch diameter steel T-probe, AESI probed footing
subgrades to depths of less than 2 inches and noted the material appeared firm and unyielding underfoot. The contractor then placed
4-inches of 2.5-inch minus crushed rock along the bottom of excavations to protect the subgrade. The material was compacted using a
vibratory sled compactor. All footings observed today appear suitable for the design loads. See Figure 1 for locations.

Subgrades observed previously highlighted in blue.
