THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED: Associated Earth Sciences Inc. (AESI) was onsite around 11:30am to observe lot 2 ADU
foundation subgrade.
Lot 2 ADU Subgrade Check
Prior to our arrival, the contractor excavated approximately 2-4 feet from existing grade using a large excavator. The subgrade consisted
mostly of brown silty sand with some standing water over the surface from rainfall over the past week. We assessed the subgrade using
a ½” diameter steel t-probe and observed the north side of the building foundation subgrade to be soft probing approximately 1-1.5
feet. We informed Mark with Tiger Mountain of our observations in which we outlined the soft subgrade area using yellow spray paint
for it to be removed and replaced with dryer fill soils (Photo 1). Mark informed us that lot 3 foundation subgrade will be ready for us to
check next week. AESI left the site in the afternoon and will return upon request.
