POWDER COATING PROCEDURE FOR GALVANIZED ARMS LOGAN AVE
RENTON, WA
Procedure:
Step 1: Clean part per ASTM D6386, Section 5.
Step 2: Profile sand blast the surface of parts per ASTM D6386, Section 5.4.1 .
Step 3: Air blast parts free of media profiling material and do a final surface prep.
Step 4: Preheat parts to cure temperature of the powder to ensure pinhole prevention.
Step 5: Apply 3 mils of epoxy primer to the parts, followed by a partial cure
following the manufactures recommendations for application.
Step 6: Apply 3 mils of Spectrum BK70-XTP385-XP Black Textured finish coat to
match RAL9005TX-Jet Black Texture to the parts, followed by the finish cure following
the manufactures recommendations for application.
Step 7: Perform final inspection of parts and protective wrap for shipment.
Spectrum Technical Data and MSDS attached.
Powder coating process to be performed by Superior Powder Coating, Inc.
