HomeMy WebLinkAboutRE Logan Ave N - Recycled Concrete Aggregate Acceptance SamplesJordan:
We have only used two maximum density curves on this project. They are
attached, for your file. You will notice that the CSTC from Renton
Recycle is from the 2014 Highlands to Landing project. We utilize
maximum density curves for a maximum three-year period unless the
gradation changes. We keep track of gradation changes through lab
testing and when the density tester sieves out material in the field.
If the gradation changes significantly, in the three-year period, we run
a new curve. Processed materials do not often change because of the
narrow specification bands required on screened aggregates.

Geralyn,
Could you please send us the maximum density curves for the following
attached gradation test reports. During our documentation review with
WSDOT we were told we need to have these on file.
KC-15-663
KC-15-664
KC-15-665
KC-15-629 (CSBC 2379)
KC-15-629 (CSTC 2350)
KC-09-648
Also could you please include the maximum density curves for all
gradation/pit acceptance tests going forward.
Thanks,
Jordan Howe
