THE FOLLOWING WAS NOTED:
Area A Footings
Associated Earth Sciences Inc. (AESI) was on site for part-time geotechnical observation. Upon arrival, we met with representatives
from Cornerstone and Continental Dirt Contractors (CDC). While on-site, we observed CDC excavating thickened edge perimeter
footing on grid lines AA, A5 and A12 as shown in the image below. Subgrades were excavated with a smooth bucket and blanketed
with approximately 4 inches of compacted crushed rock as a winter working surface. Subgrades excavated today exposed native
lodgement till and were firm and unyielding and suitable for support of planned building footings in our opinion.
Wet Conditions Discussion
AESI, CDC, CGC, and Ed Thomson walked the site together to review wet working conditions and discuss possible approaches to
enable resumption of mass grading. During the visit today a stockpile of saturated organic soil generated from wetland area stripping
was being exported as shown in the image below.
Area A Thickened Edge Footings observed today shown in green. Previously observed footings shown in blue.
