Project Narrative – 6/29/22
The proposed project entails expansion and upgrade of a previously approved fiber-optic hub with the
addition of a new 10’6” x 21’5” equipment shelter/cabinet on a 11’6” x 25’6” concrete pad, two new
battery cabinets mounted on concrete pads, a new 100KW diesel generator on a 5’ x 14’ concrete pad
and miscellaneous electrical upgrades on the exterior East wall of the existing equipment shelter. Three
pole mounted security cameras will also be installed.
The project will likely take place in two phases: The pouring of the concrete pads in late summer and,
due to equipment scheduled deliveries, the shelter and other equipment will be installed in mid-
January.
A ROW permit may be required for partial closure of 116th Ave SE at the time the concrete pads are
poured for the shelter, generator and battery units; and, a second ROW permit will be required for the
shelter, generator and battery units to be craned into place.
