Grading North:
A representative from Associated Earth Sciences, Inc. (AESI) was onsite at 9am and again at 2pm, as requested to observe aerated soil
conditions. Soils placed mid-day yesterday had been aerated by discing and were smoothed and re-rolled. During our morning visit
we observed that the soils were still yielding in places and compaction was approximately 90%. CDC planned to aerate the rest of
the day.
Upon our return at 2pm we recommended that CDC compact two strips (east-west and north-south) to check progress. The soils had
dried to moistures of 10-11% but density tests were still in the low 90’s and were still yielding in places. We discussed that some of
the stockpile soils might be wetter. CDC planned to let the soils set as is for the rest of the weekend and check on Monday.
