Brief Description of Project: This questionnaire evaluates the activities and processes proposed for the
DaVinci lab in Renton, WA. During Research and Development activities,
the team will use benchtop quantities of chemicals and inert gases in a light
industrial setting under a fume hood. No major sources of emissions are
proposed here.
Will the equipment be venting to
atmosphere? If so, please specify what is
being released to atmosphere and why.
Yes, a chemical fume hood will allow the team to vent chemical vapors and
inert gases to atmosphere.
Will any control equipment be used (e.g.,
baghouse, dust collector, thermal
oxidizer)? Please specify what type.
A fume hood.

Testing and Research:
1. Will the source be used exclusively for quality assurance/quality control testing?

6.03(c)(132). Stop here. The project does not require air permitting. Submit this
form to EHS for records.

2. Will the source be used exclusively for non-production bench scale research and development, both now
and in the future?
If the parts produced by this process will have their own part numbers or will end up on a final product, the
process does not qualify for this exemption.
