Hazardous Materials Management Statement
Refueling and Hazardous Materials Inventory
Refueling of construction equipment and a hazardous materials inventory will be per the Spill
Prevention, Control, and Countermeasures (SPCC) Plan consistent with applicable City standards,
including Renton Municipal Code (RMC) 4-3-050G.8 and 4-4-030C.8, to be provided by the contractor.
The contractor is required to provide an SPCC for review and approval consistent with the Contract
Specifications, Section 01 57 00 (p. 10).
RMC 4-4-030.C.8 Construction Activity Standards – Aquifer Protection Area Zone 2
The construction activity standards applicable in Aquifer Protection Area Zone 2, including a designated
person, secondary containment, securing hazardous materials, removal of leaking vehicles and
equipment, flammable and combustible liquids – storage and dispensing, clean-up equipment and
supplies, and unauthorized releases, will be addressed in the SPCC to be provided by the contractor. No
use of pesticides and fertilizers is proposed. The contractor is required to provide an SPCC for review
and approval consistent with the Contract Specifications, Section 01 57 00 (p. 10).
