1. Call To Order:
Brent Beden called the meeting to order at 4:15 p.m.
2. Approval Of Minutes:
Moved by Louise Trujillo and Seconded by Kathleen Booher to approve the April 26, 2022, Regular meeting
minutes. Motion Carried.
3. Unfinished Business:
A. Police Manager Job Classification*
Moved by Kathleen Booher and Seconded by Louise Trujillo to approve the revisions to the Police
Manager job classification to include the following changes, change "1-1" to "one -on-one", remove the
spelled out version of "six", change "cognizant" to "receptive".
4. New Business:
A. Police Service Specialist Supervisor Job Classification Revisions *
Moved by Louise Trujillo and Seconded by Kathleen Booher to approve the revisions to the Police
Services Specialist Supervis or job classification to include the following change, change "1-1" to "one-on-
one".
B. Police Services Specialist Supervisor Job Announcement*
Moved by Kathleen Booher and Seconded by Louise Trujillo to approve the revisions to the Police
Services Specialist Supervisor job classification to include the following changes, change "1-1" to "one-
on-one", change "cognizant" to "receptive", add "or" between "lawful permanent resident" and "US
Citizen."
C. Police Sergeant Job Classification Revisions*
Moved by Louise Trujillo and Seconded by Kathleen Booher to approve the revisions to the Police
Sergeant job classification to include the following ch ange, change "1-1" to "one-on-one".
D. Entry Level Police Officer Eligibility List* and Examination Report**
Moved by Kathleen Booher and Seconded by Louise Trujillo to approve the Police Officer Eligibility List.
E. Lateral Police Officer Eligibility List* a nd Examination Report**

Moved by Louise Trujillo and Seconded by Kathleen Booher to approve the Lateral Police Eligibility List
with the change of candidate Ander Bishop. This candidate's name was listed as first name and then last
name instead of the opposite order to be consistent with the remaining of the candidates on the list.
F. Parking Enforcement Job Classification Revisions *
Moved by Louise Trujillo and Seconded by Kathleen Booher to approve the Parking Enforcement Officer
Job Classification .
G. Parkin g Enforcement Job Announcement*
Moved by Kathleen Booher and Seconded by Louise Trujillo to approve the Parking Enforcement Officer
job announcement.
5. Other Business/Comments
A. Open Public Meeting Act Update - Hybrid Civil Service Commission Meetings beginning in June 2022
Kim Gilman mentioned that open meetings will need to have a physical location, however, there will al-
so be an option to continue with a virtual option. The physical meeting will begin at the June 28 meet-
ing.
B. Brent Beden Moved and Louise Trujillo Seconded the following motion: In the future any documents
provided for review by the Renton Civil Service Commission which contain revisions utilizing the
underline & strikeout method will be required to use two (2) separate color typeface to deli ne-
ate between the additions/changes & the deletions; to facilitate easier readability.
C. Next Regular meeting is May 23, 2022**

Brent Beden Moved and Loise Trujillo Seconded the motion to adjourn the meeting at 5:10 PM
