Re: Compton Lumber – Temporary Use (North Bldg)
– Description of the proposed temporary use
The Compton Lumber company was set to receive their permits late 2019/early 2020 prior to the
Covid 19 Virus Pandemic. We had received comments and resubmitted the plans for the various
permits. The during the pandemic apparently the owner was notified of the permits being close to
expiring then they did expire. We don’t recall receiving notification of any permits expiring;
however, we are now here to make new submittals. The Temporary use of the building is planned
to operate as a lumber store similar to the previous owner/tenant who formally occupied the
building. The plan to run their business from 7am till 3:30 pm. The proposed date of exit plan is
1year from acceptance of the temporary use permit or the proposed new building is completed for
their relocation. Compton does not anticipate any delays unless another pandemic occurs or the
like.

We hope that this letter finds your approval so that Compton Lumber for temporary use; so that
eventually a long history family owned business relocation from Seattle (over 100 years) can find
a new permanent home in Renton.
