HomeMy WebLinkAboutRES 4480CITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTONRESOLUTIONNO.4480ARESOLUTIONOFTHECITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTON,ADOPTINGBYREFERENCETHECURRENTCAPITALFACILITIESPLANSFORKENT,ISSAQUAH,ANDRENTONSCHOOLDISTRICTS,ANDADOPTINGUPDATEDSCHOOLIMPACTFEESFOREACHSCHOOLDISTRICT.WHEREAS,underRentonMunicipalCode(“RMC”)Section4-1-190ofChapter1,AdministrationandEnforcement,ofTitleIV(DevelopmentRegulations),theCityofRentonhasheretoforecollectedschoolimpactfeesonbehalfoftheKent,lssaquah,andRentonSchoolDistricts;andWHEREAS,theKent,lssaquah,andRentonSchoolDistrictseachhaverequestedthattheCityofRentonadopttheirDistrict’scurrentCapitalFacilitiesPlans;andWHEREAS,asestablishedinthecurrentKentSchoolDistrictCapitalFacilitiesPlan,theKentSchoolDistrictwillnotcollectimpactfeesfornewsingle-familyornewmulti-familydwellingunitsforthe2022-23schoolyear;andWHEREAS,asestablishedinthecurrentIssaquahSchoolDistrictCapitalFacilitiesplan,theschoolimpactfeeratesforthelssaquahSchoolDistricthavebeencalculatedat$11,377pernewsinglefamilydwellingunit,and$4,718pernewmulti-familydwellingunit;andWHEREAS,asestablishedinthecurrentRentonSchoolDistrictCapitalFacilitiesPlan,theschoolimpactfeeratesfortheRentonSchoolDistricthavebeencalculatedat$2,911pernewsinglefamilydwellingunit,and$3,697pernewmulti-familydwellingunit;andWHEREAS,theCityofRentonFeeScheduleliststheschoolimpactfeeratechargedonbehalfofeachDistrict;1 RESOLUTIONNO.4480NOW,THEREFORE,THECITYCOUNCILOFTHECITYOFRENTON,WASHINGTON,DORESOLVEASFOLLOWS:SECTIONI.TheCityCouncilherebyadoptsbyreferenceasiffullysetforthhereinthefollowingCapitalFacilitiesPlans:A.TheKentSchoolDistrictSix-YearCapitalFacilitiesPlan2022-23-2027-28,datedJune2022;B.The2022CapitalFacilitiesPlanoflssaquahSchoolDistrictNo.411,datedJune2022;andC.The2022CapitalFacilitiesPlanofRentonSchoolDistrictNo.403,datedJune2022.SECTIONII.TheCityCouncilherebyadoptsthefollowingschoolimpactfees,tobeeffectiveJanuary1,2023,whichwillbelistedinanupdatedCityofRentonFeeSchedule:A.KentSchoolDistrict:1.$0pernewsinglefamilydwellingunit;and2.$0pernewmulti-familydwellingunit.B.lssaquahSchoolDistrict:1.$11,377pernewsinglefamilydwellingunit;and2.$4,718pernewmulti-familydwellingunit.C.RentonSchoolDistrict:1.$2,911pernewsinglefamilydwellingunit;and2.$3,697pernewmulti-familydwellingunit.SECTIONIII.CopiesofeachCapitalFacilitiesPlan,attachedheretoandadoptedbyreference,willbeonfilewiththeCityClerk.2 RESOLUTIONNO.4480PASSEDBYTHECITYCOUNCILthis26thdayofSeptember2022.11JasofA.Sh,Gftf’CIrkAPPROVEDBYTHEMAYORthis26thdayofSeptember,2022.Approvedastoform:ShaneMoloney,CityAttorneyRES—CED:1917:8.15.20223
