The public comment period is not open yet, but I will save your email in the file once the comment period starts. When the application is formally submitted, I will send you a link to the submittal items that are part of the project so you can view the plans. The proposal is for an Accessory Dwelling Unit (ADU) which are an allowed use in the R-8 zone where your properties are located. I have attached a handout on ADUs for your information so you can learn a little more about the type of development and what is allowed while you wait for the project to be accepted. I've called the Renton permitting office and have left a message but have not been successful in speaking to anyone directly yet. We would like to obtain information on the plans for this ADU. We live on a street with no houses directly behind us and would like to learn more about the plans and how the city of Renton is allowing this build to happen. We understand the homeowner plans to rent the dwelling out to family and perhaps other potential tenants. We look forward to hearing back from you asap, as I understand the commenting window is only open for a certain period of time and at this time.
