Question Question from Jeremiah Tovrea Sare Electric on Thursday, Sep 29, 2022 at 04:39 PM PDT
Per flag note 8 on E1.00 CCD#004.1 the added communications conduit is supposed to be run in the landscape buffer on the
Duvall side of the sidewalk. Street Lighting Note 7 on E1.00 calls to have our pole bases 3' from the edge of the side and 7'
from the edge of Duvall Ave. We prefer to use a common trench for these scopes. Is it acceptable to run the street lighting
and 2" spare communication conduit under the east edge of the sidewalk? Light pole base and existing utilities block routing
on the edge of the landscape buffer. This will leave a small channel in the direct center of the landscape buffer where trees
will be planted.

Response from Taylor VanderKley Hargis Engineers, Inc. on Tuesday, Oct 4, 2022 at 04:58 PM PDT
FLAG NOTE 8 INDICATES THE REQUIREMENT TO ROUTE WITHIN EXISTING LANDSCAPE BUFFERS
ON THE NORTH AND SOUTH ENDS OF THE ROW BEYOND THE SCHOOL'S PARCEL. THE
REQUIREMENT IS TO ELIMINATE IMPACTS TO EXISTING HARDSCAPE TO REMAIN. IT IS
ACCEPTABLE TO COMBINE THE LIGHTING AND SPARE COMMUNCATION CONDUITS AS INDICATED
PENDING APPROVAL FROM THE CITY OF RENTON.
