Stacey,
Thank you for your comments related to the Southport West project (LUA22-000284) wherein you raised a concern
about how traffic will be managed. A copy of the Traffic Impact Analysis for Southport West is available online by clicking
here. A new access into Southport will be provided by constructing the Park Ave N Extension Project. This project will
extend Park Ave N to the north of Logan Ave N to provide access to Southport and the Boeing Company. Improvements
include the construction of a railroad crossing, signal improvements, utility improvements, and illumination. Per the
most current Park Ave N Extension Project schedule, substantial completion is anticipated on October 13, 2023. Your
comments will be added to the public record for consideration by the reviewing official and you have been added as a
party of record.
Thank you for your interest in this project and if you have any further questions or comments, please feel free to contact
me.
Regards,

I am curious how traffic will be managed. Currently in the spring and summer traffic is frequently
backed up along Logan Avenue N. People drive in the oncoming traffic lanes to make the turn lane
onto Lake Washington Blvd N. Drivers do not pay attention and will utilize the lane for Southport
only and turn right into Coulon Beach Park narrowly missing vehicles that are turning right in the
correct lane. When the Hyatt has events it becomes even more congested.
