THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes only as October 10, 2022, is by and between
the City of Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, andJohnston Architects, LLC
(“Consultant”), a Washington limited liability company. The City and the Consultant are referred
to collectively in this Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this
Amendment is effective as of the last date signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-22-071, dated
March 16, 2022, to provide Architectural services for the renovation of the Renton Municipal
Airport’s 243 office building (referred to herein as the “Agreement”);
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work, extend the
time of performance, and change the compensation in order to incorporate the necessary
furniture design into the prospective bid;
NOW THEREFORE, it is mutually agreed upon that CAG-22-071 is amended as follows:
1. Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to read as follows:
Consultant agrees to provide professional services as specified in Exhibit A and Exhibit B
and Exhibit C, which are attached and incorporated herein and may hereinafter be
referred to as the “Work.”
2. Time of Performance: The time of performance is extended to July 31, 2023.
3. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $7,930 from $75,400 to $83,330,
plus any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid
based upon Work actually performed according to the rate(s) or amounts specified in
Exhibit A of the Agreement.
4.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have voluntarily entered into this Amendment as of the date
last signed by the Parties below.

Dear William,
We are writing to request an increase to our contract amount for the Renton Municipal Airport Office
Renovation project. The additional services not included in our original scope of work include:

The Bid Documents will be revised per meetings with JA & William on 8/15/22 & 9/19/22. JA will deliver
revised documents to William by EOD 10/5/22. The following bid schedule is assumed:

10/21/22 Mandatory bid walk with William, JA, & interested bidders
11/11/22 Bids due
We estimate that the additional bidding work described above will take 62626262 hourshourshourshours to complete by the
following personnel:
Partner 10 hours at $195 per hour $1,950
Project Manager 26 hours at $135 per hour $3,510
Production Assistant 26 hours at $95 per hour $2,470
$7,930 subtotal
