This permit is within the confinement of the Springbrook Creek boundaries as stated in the Superior Court Cause#32912 and the attached documents and maps. The Springbrook Creek area overgrows yearly with vegetation that requires removal each year prior to the winter months and high water flows. Without maintenance, this vegetation causes Springbrook Creek and other drainage ditches to fill and overflow since the forward flow has been blocked and/or the channel reduced due to the overgrown vegetation. Currently, there are no roads, buildings, or any other man made structures that will be removed and/or modified as part of this project. The planned use of the property to be maintained and cleared is for drainage within the Kent/Renton valley. The brush cutting will not adversely affect the view of any adjacent structures. The total estimated construction cost for this project is in excess of $150,000.00 and will be funded by King County Drainage District No. 1 annual fund." The proposed dates for this project are yearly, between October 15, and January 15, as in accordance with the JARPA/Hydraulic Project Approval dated November 26, 1996 with an expiration date of January 31, 2001 (attached).
