Thank you for the opportunity to review and comment. Based on the information
provided and our understanding of the project and its APE we have no substantive
comments to offer at this time. The DAHP WISAARD website predictive model
indicates that there is moderately low risk of encountering archaeological
resources. Therefore the Tribe would accept that an IDP be put in place. We also
request that if any archaeological work or monitoring is performed, we would like
notification. Cultural and archaeological resources are non-renewable and are
best discovered prior to ground disturbance. The Tribe would also like the
opportunity to be present if or when an archaeologist is on site in the event that
an artifact or cultural resource is encountered. Please be aware that if the scope
of the project or the parameters for defining the APE change, we reserve the right
to modify our current position. In addition, the Tribe recommends that native
vegetation be used only if there is any proposed landscaping.
