Hello Principle Planner Clark H. Close,
My Name is Jillian and I have been living at Griffis Lake WA Apartments since March 2021. I want to keep this short and
to the point. I am a law enforcement officer and have witnessed the rise in crime in such a short amount of time. I have
witnessed loitering for the distribution of drugs, bold theft in and coming out of Target, loiters starting fires, and car
theft/scouting in our 'secured' parking garage. It is normal to encounter criminals, the homeless, and the mentally ill at
the N 10th St & Park Ave N bus stop attached to my building, facing Target. It's also very normal to hear transients
fighting with residents, bus drivers and getting arrested. I am confident when I say there is a direct correlation between
this bus stop and crime in this immediate area. I have witnessed thieves steal from Target and run for the bus several
times as I was walking out. I understand you are the Principal Planner for the new Commercial & Mixed Use project
located at 800 Garden Ave N Renton, WA. I am asking that you get the bust stop removed or at the very least moved if
possible.
