The Planning Commission at its public hearing meet-
ing of February 23 , 1966 recommended to the City
Council for further action the following items :
(1) PRELIMINARY PLAT ROLLING. HILLS NO. 3 Appl;''
No.' .S--2.7 9-,6 6 , area bounded by Puget . Drive,,
116th Ave.. SE and SE 160th Street. The
Preliminary .Plat" is the 3rd stage develop-
ment proposed for single family residential
use. The proposed plat is in agreement with
the Comprehensive Plan. . The. Planning Commis-
sion recommends adoption of the Preliminary
Plat as presented, provided the cul de sacs
shown as 40 '' be changed to .50 ' ' in width in
accorda.nce with Ordinance requirements ,:.

ACTION:
Moved by Racanello , seconded by Stredicke, to continue
the matter of the rezone request along with the continuation
of the Preliminary Plat for further study. Motion carried.
( 2) MICHAEL MASTRO , APPLO NO. R-286-66 , from R-3 to B-1, property
located on the Benson Rd. between SE 166th and SE 168th
Streets .
Committee report : Recommend approval subject to a change
of the Comprehensive Land Use Map to reflect a business use.
Staff report : The proposed Use would be an extension of
existing B-1 use in this location. The Comprehensive Plan
indicates this area as multiple family residential use. The
proposed use is considered feasible for a neighborhood type
business facility.
Following discussion on the matter the following actions' -I
were taken:
ACTIONS :
Moved by Stredicke , seconded by Denzer, that the hearing
be closed. Motion carried.
Moved by Denzer, seconded by Racanello , that the rezone
be approved contingent upon the change in the Comprehensive
Plan to reflect business use . Motion carried.
( 3) KENENTH GILBERT, APPLO NO . R-287-66 , request for rezone from
GS-1 to R-1 , property located off 132nd Avenue SE between
Cemetery Rd. and 6th Pl. North.
Committee report : Recommend approval.
Staff report : The property at present has no street
access . It is proposed that an easement will be provided
to provide necessary access . It is recommended that minimum
zone classification be SR-1 with minimum lot size of 7500
4q. ft.
Chairman Garrison asked if anyone in the audience wished to
speak on this matter.There were no comments .
SIides. Were- shown of the area in question,' and after discus-
sion on the matter, the -following actions were taken:
ACTION:
Moved by Busch, seconded by Cordell , that the hearing be
continued.
Discussion on tie motion brought out that there is also
a Variance requested on this property. Mr. Ericksen stated
that the applicant intends to move two houses onto this prop-
erty. The easement would serve both houses ,.ebut'-he ,felt' that
there might be a possibility that the second house on the
easement could be landlocked. He felt that the matter should
be studied .further.
Question on the motion being called, the motion carried. "c
