(1) Transamerica, Continued:
The proposed rezone to R-3 would be in compliance
with the Comprehensive Plan. The proposed business
uses, however, would not be in compliance with
the Comprehensive Plan. The Planning Commission
after study recommended to the City Council that
parcels #28 and #29 be rezoned from SR-1 to R-3 ,
and that this is in agreement with the Comprehen-
sive Plan. It was recommended that the hearing
be continued on Parcels : Portion of Parcel #30, .
''=_. #31 and #32 pending study of the Comprehensive
Plan.
(2) Elmer Rustand, Appl. No. R-336-66 , request for
rezone from G to B-1, property located on the SW
• corner of SE 128th St. and 132nd Ave. SE. The
Comprehensive Plan indicates commercial use and
multiple family residential use for this area.
The proposed use is for a gas station and real
. • estate office. The Planning Commission recom-
mended that the above request for rezone be re-a"
commended to the City Council for approval, and
that this is in agreement with the Comprehensive
Plan.
. (3)' ' John Harer, Appl, No. R-337-66, request for rezone
from G to B-1, property located on the south side
,, of Se 128th Street approximately 200 ° west of
132nd Ave. SE. The property is indicated. on the
Comprehensive Plan as commercial use and multiple
family residential. The proposed use is for a
super market and related retail outlets. The
Planning Commission recommended approval of the
. rezone' from G to B-1, and that it is in agreement
with the Comprehensive Plan.

to R-3 , property located on the SE corner of 116th
Ave. SE and 12th Ave. North. The Comprehensive
Plan indicates multiple family residential use.

We the undersigned are against the proposed rezoning of property
adjoining 116th. Ave. S.E. and 12th. Ave. N, Renton, Wash.
tie feel if this property were developed into single dwellings
it would be more advantageous to this area.
Due to the present traffic problems in this area with a Jr. High
school and also an Elementary school, the area cannot take on anymore
traffic and congestion.

Moved by Denzer, seconded by Racanello, to recommend the
rezone from G to B-1 to. the City Council for approval, as it is
in compliance with the Comprehensive Plan. Motion carried.
(3) John Harer, Appl. No. R-337-66 , request for rezone from G to
B-1, property located on the south side of SE 128th Street
approximately 200 ' west of 132nd Ave. SE. The property ex-
tends 805 ' westward with a depth, of 300 ' . The Comprehensive Plan
indicates commercial use and multiple family residential. The
proposed use is for a super market and related retail outlets.
Staff comment: The Comprehensive Plan indicates future com-
mercial use along ' SE 128th Street approximately 200 ' in depth
and multiple family residential to the south.
Committee comments : Recommend approval.
Chairman Garrison asked if there were any objections or comments
on this proposed rezone. There being no objections, the follow-
ing actions were taken:
ACTIONS :
Moved by. Stredicke,, seconded " by Cordell, that the hearing
be closed. Motion carried.
Moved by Cordell, seconded by Denzer, that the rezone from
G to B-1 be recommended for approval to the City Council, as
it is in agreement with the Comprehensive Plan. Motion carried.
(4) Amos Huseland, Appl. No, R-338-66 , rezone from R-1 to R-3 :
property located at the SE corner of 116th Ave. SE and 12th
/ Avenue North. The Comprehensive Plan indicates multiple family
residential use. The proposed use is for apartments.
Staff comments : The property adjoins the recently rezoned
R-3 Buck property. The McKnight Junior High School is located
across 12th Avenue N.
Committee comments : Recommend approval.
Chairman Garrison read two protest petitions signed by proper-
ty owners in the area, who felt that the proposed property
should be developed into single family dwellings, and that the
increase in traffic and congestion would be objectionable.
Chairman Garrison asked if there were any further comments,
There being none, the following actions were taken:
ACTION:
Moved by Denzer, seconded by Cordell, that the hearing be
closed. Motion carried.
Moved by Denzer, seconded by Cordell, that the rezone from
R-1 to R-3 be recommended to the City Council, since it is
in agreement with the Comprehensive Plan. Motion carried,
(5) Douglas Buck, Appl. No. R-339-66 , request for rezone from G-6000
to L-l : Property located on the northwest corner of S. 148th
St. and 87th Avenue SE. The property is approximately 190 '
by 100 ' in depth. The Comprehensive Plan indicates light indus-
trial use. The proposed use is for warehousing.
