Reason: Per RFl-07 the 48" catch basin cannot allow for five (5) penetrations and upsizing the basin would
create a conflict with the 8" curb wall.

If the following described work affects the Contract sum or Contract time, the Contractor shall submit a proposal for
review and approval by the Architect prior to proceeding with the work.
Description: ASI indicates re-routing the (NE) 8" HOPE storm drain line to reduce the amount of knockouts at CB
#206. The change will add two (2) PVC drain basins at the storm drain line and perforated pipe
intersections. The change eliminates one (1) 12" knockout, one (1) Kor-N-Seal boot, and 9.8 lineal
feet of storm drain line. Orientation of the (N) 8" HOPE storm drain line will be slightly adjusted to
allow for the required 8" separation between knockouts (See RFI 07 -Control Structure Adjustment -
BDA Response (Rev.1 08-22-22)).

Description: TOI has requested if the north edge of the sand field area can be shifted south slightly to reduce
potential tree root impacts. This change is acceptable provided that the field edge retains a smooth
curve as shown in the attached sketch which shifts the field's north edge approximately 5 feet south.

Cost:
To reduce impacts to potential significant tree roots at existing tree to be preserved just north of the
field.
Provide cost adjustments for the reduction in 1 O" depth sand volume required at the field and
replacement with 6" depth topsoil along with reduced lengths of field underdrain lines.
