the rezone request be recommended. to the City Council for appro-
val. Motion carried ,
2 , STRELLNAUER, GIOVI, MYER, APPL, NO, R=248-65 , request for rezone
from R®1 and S®1 to B-1. This matter was continued from Sept,
22 at the request of the Applicants , The Applicants requested
that action be postponed for an indefinite period pending a
detailed study of the area in question and its potential future
development.
It was moved by Denzer, seconded by Racanello , that this
matter be continued for an additional 30 days,
In the discussion that followed , Mr. Magstadt stated that
this area was originally rezoned to B-1 , but had reverted . back to
R-1 , according to the reversion clause in effect at that time.
Also, some problems have arisen ' in regard tb platting. The Ap.
plicants have asked for more time to Work out their problems ,
Planning Director Ericksen stated that in studying the area
in question, he does not feel that the entire area should be re-
zoned to B=10
Mr, Denzer with consent of second amended his motion to grant
the Applicants an additional 60 days time. Motion on the amendment
carried,

AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY OF RENTON, WASHINGTON, CHANGING
THE ZONING CLASSIFICATION OF CERTAIN PROPERTY WITHIN THE
CITY OF RENTON FROM GENERAL CLASSIFICATION DISTRICT (G-6000)
TO LIGHT INDUSTRY DISTRICT (L-1)
WHEREAS under Chapter VII, Title IV (Business Regulations) of Ordinance No. 1628
known as the "Code of General Ordinances of .Lhe City of Renton", as amended, and the maps
adopted in conjunction therewith, the property hereinbelow de,scribed has heretofore been
zoned as General Classification District (G-6000), and
WHEREAS a proper petition for change of zone classification of said property
has been filed with the City Clerk on or about August 24, 1965, which petition was then
referred to the Planning Commission for investigation, study and public hearing, and
a public hearing having been held thereon on or about September 22, 1965, all pursuant
to notice of hearing duly published and posted as provided by law; said matter having
been duly considered by the Planning Commission, and all parties having been heard
appearing in support thereof or in opposition thereto, NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE MAYOR AND THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF RENTON AS FOLLOWS
SECTION I: The following described property in the City of Renton is hereby
rezoned to Light Industry District (L-1); the City Engineer and the Planning Director
are hereby authorized and directed to change the maps of the Zoning Ordinance, as amended,
to evidence said rezoning, as follows:
Lots 17 and 18, Block 28, C. D. Hillman's Earlington Gardens Addn.
to the City of Seattle, Div. No. 1, according to plat thereof recorded
in Vol. 17 of Plats, page 74, records of King County, State of Wash—
ington; al1f-situated in Renton, King County, Waohington.
SECTION II: This Ordinance shall be in full force and effect from and after
its passage, approval and legal publication.
