The connection is intended to provWe opportunity for InffltratJon of any njnoff that Is being conveyed from an impervious surface (usually a root) to a local drainage system such as a ditch or roadway pipe system. 1 The size and composition of the perforated pipe connection as depicted by the flow control BMP site plan and design details must be maintained and may not be changed without written approval either from the King County Water and Land Resources Division or through a future devetopment pemiit from King County. This lot 6 House, porch, patio and driveway cover approximately 3,480 ft. at no timd can the impervious surfaces be increased to more than the maximum of 3,564 sq. ft The square footage of any sheds, additional patios or building additions cannot cover more than the remaining square feet. i i This property contains a storm water rhanagement flow control BMP (Best Management Practice) called a "perforatedpipe connection," jvhich was installed to reduce the storm water runoff impacts of some or aU of the impervious surface on yoxir property. A perforated pipe connection is a length of drainage conveyance pipe with holes in the bottom, i designed to "leak" runoff, conveyed by the pipe, into a gravel filled trench where it can be soaked into the surrounding soil. The coimection is intended to provide opportunity for infiltration of any i runoff that is being conveyed from an impervious surface (usually a roof) to the local drainage system designed for the plat Per King dounty 2009 SWDM Appendix C.2.11 see attached drawing. Infiltration devices must be inspected annually and after major storm events to identify and repair any physical defects. Maintenance and operation of the system should focus on ensuring the i system's viability by preventing sediment-laden flows from entering the device. Excessive sedimentation will result in a plugged or non-functioning facility, ff the infilfration device has a I catch basin, sediment accumulation must be removed on a yearly basis or more frequently if necessary. Prolonged ponding around or atop a device may indicate a plugged facilLty. ff the device becomes plugged, it must be replaced. Keeping the areas that drain to infilfration devices well I swept and clean wiU enhance the longe^iity of these devices. For roofs, frequent cleaning of gutters wiU reduce sediment loads to these devices. Minimum PR1300037 B17005932 V2
