Public Works Contract Change Orders
1. Applicability:
Any alteration to an existing public works contract that is consistent with the initial scope, quantities,
specifications, or contracting period upon which the contract was awarded.
2. Process:
Change orders should be negotiated per the underlying contract. All change orders require review
and approval by the city attorney department.
3. Signature and Approval Authority:

Under $50,000 Administrator
$50,000 - $100,000 Mayor
Over $100,000 City council approves, mayor signs
