Senior Advisory Board Meeting
Monday, December 7, 2022, 9:30 am

1. CALL TO ORDER
Meeting called to order at 9:34am
Members Present: Marge Cochran-Reep, Sandy Polley, Shirley Haddock, Julie Horan, Ron
Erb, Jack Wardell, Elaine Seay-Davis, Siona Cochran, Faye Williams, Brigid Caballon, Kate
Cooke
Members Excused Absents: Christine Gray -Scott, Anita Dull, Beatrice Budziu
City Staff Present: Carrie Nass, Recreation Director; Sean Claggett, Recreation Supervisor;
Victoria Kvitek, Age Friendly Initiative, VISTA Volunteer; Elane Rosok, Recreation Assistant
Guests Present: None
2. APPROVAL OF MINUTES
Motion to approve the Nov 7th minutes by Jack Wardell, seconded by Shirley Haddock, in
addition to correct the spelling of the IKUTA Fund in the November minutes
3. DISCUSSION/ACTION ITEMS
A) Senior Advisory Board Bylaws
a. Discussion of corrections to the existing Bylaws. Motion moved by Sandy Polley to
approve the Chairperson term to 1 year, seconded by Shirley Haddock
b. Remove the 'Golden Opportunities' statement from the Bylaws, moved by Jack
Wardell, seconded by Siona Cochran
c. Nominated and accepted: Ron Erb to Chairperson and Kate Cooke to Co -Chair for
2023 term
B) Carrie Nass —future meeting topics
a. Topics suggested tours of City of Renton park upgrades and improvements,
possible speakers, the Park Planning team, Economic Development team, tour the
Family First Center
Wheelchair Accessible. American Sign language (ASQ interpreter available upon request.

S. BOARD COMMENTS
Reminder: No Jan board meeting because of the New Year holiday. Senior
Advisory Council Meeting will resume on Monday, Feb 6, 2022

Meeting adjourned at 10:45am
