The regular meeting of the Firemen's Pension Board was called to order by Mayor Denis Law at 2:00 p.m. in
the Mayor's Conference room, 7th floor of Renton City Hall. In attendance were Board members Mayor Denis
Law, Don Persson (substitute), Ray Barilleaux, Bruce Phillips, and Bonnie Walton. Also present was Jill
Masunaga, Finance Department Representative.
MINUTES APPROVAL
MOVED BY BARILLEAUX, SECONDED BY PHILLIPS, THE PENSION BOARD APPROVE THE MINUTES OF THE
NOVEMBER 15, 2012 MEETING. CARRIED.
CORRESPONDENCE
A memo from Fire & Emergency Services Chief Mark Peterson was reviewed confirming that an election had
been held and that by unanimous vote Ray Barilleaux was re-elected to a two-year term on the Firemen's
Pension Board as the Department's representative for the period January 1, 2013 through December 31,
2014.
MONTHLY STATEMENT
The financial report for November 30, 2012 was reviewed. Total cash/investment balance was $4,572,790.76.
The financial report for December 31, 2012 was not yet available for review due to year-end closing.
MONTHLY BILLS AND PENSION PAYMENTS
MOVED BY BARILLEAUX, SECONDED BY PERSSON, THE BOARD APPROVE THE PENSION/MEDICAL PAYMENTS
FOR DECEMBER 2012, IN THE TOTAL AMOUNT OF $17,233.61 AND FOR JANUARY 2013, IN THE TOTAL
AMOUNT OF $17,233.61, EACH TO BE PAID FROM THE FIREMEN'S PENSION FUND. CARRIED.
UNFINISHED BUSINESS
Board Member Ray Barilleaux presented an address listing of the Firemen's Pension members that he had
recently compiled, which includes the member's email addresses. The Board Secretary will keep this on file
for future use. It was noted that address information for Constance Haworth was still being sought.
