Re: Sunset Gardens Street Light Standards 117.1 and 117.2

ERW is currently working with US Architectural (a manufacturer located in California) to provide an alternate
cast aluminum cover to match the OCT6 and OCT14 base covers. US Architectural is preparing engineering
drawings for the City’s review and approval. It is our understanding that the City of Renton currently uses Visco
as the city standard for base covers.
It has been brought to our (ERW) attention that the local agent for Visco is unwilling to provide a base only
quote to the Electrical Distributor for this project. In an effort to assist and find equitable resolution, ERW and
the City of Renton have been in communication regarding potential use of bases that the City has in
maintenance stock as a possible solution. Should that be agreeable to all parties, ERW will continue our path
forward with US Architectural and will then backfill the stock used for the City. Should any complications arise
during this process, ERW will reimburse the City of Renton for any used stock from their facility. If the path
forward is reimbursement, the City will invoice ERW $20,100 for the currently stocked covers. Either payment
or replacement will take place no later than December 29, 2023.
