NARRATIVE
I was driving the 2007 Honda Ridgeline southbound through the intersection of Sunset and 3rd Avenue. I had the green light
right of way. A semi-truck (no trailer)was eastbound on 3rd Avenue and turning right onto southbound Sunset via the right
turn lane on 3rd Avenue. As the semi-truck turned onto Sunset, it changed lanes into my lane. There was a smaller vehicle
tailgating the semi-truck, also turning right onto Sunset and drifting into my lane. I braked for the semi-truck and honked my
horn and avoided a collision with the semi. However, the smaller vehicle sped up and cut in front of my vehicle, hitting the
right/front corner of my truck with the left/rear corner of their vehicle. The driver of the smaller vehicle did not stop and
continued onto the on-ramp to southbound 1-405. The smaller vehicle (that hit my vehicle) had a unique license plate. It was
orange with two letters, one on tope of the other, on the left side of the plate. The top letter is "P" and I don't remember the
lower letter. The numbers on the orange plate are 42841. I wrote the information down immediately after the collision. The
smaller vehicle is white with lettering. Maybe the orange plate is some kind of an exempt plate for government (city?)or a
business? The driver was a man with medium-length hair.
I do have enough damage on my vehicle that will require repair. My goal is to make the responsible parties of the orange-
plate car accountable for the repairs.
