THIS ADDENDUM/AMENDMENT No. 1 to Lease Agreement LAG-13-008 is effective as of
April 1. 2023 ("Effective Date") by and between the City of Renton ("City" or "Landlord""), a
Washington municipal corporation, and Valley Communications Center a Washington interlocal
government agency ("Valley Com" or "Tenant."). The City and Tenant are referred to collectively
in this Agreement as the "Parties."
RECITALS:
WHEREAS, under lease LAG-13-008, effective August 1, 2013, the City of Renton has
leased to Valley Com (Tenant), the use of certain a portion of certain existing structures located
at 11500 Puget Dr. S., Renton, Washington, for communication services and facilities;
WHEREAS, the lease provided for two additional terms of 5 years by written amendment
pursuant to the terms and conditions of the lease; and
WHEREAS, the Parties wish to extend the term of this lease to July 31, 2033 under the
same terms and conditions and update notice provisions.
Now, THEREFORE, the Parties agree as follows:
1.Section 3 TERM AND TERMINATION is amended to read as follows:
A.The term of this Lease shall begin August 1, 2013. This Lease shall terminate on
July 31, 2033 unless sooner terminated as hereinafter provided. The parties may
mutually agree to exercise to extend this lease for additional terms by written
amendment pursuant to the terms and conditions herein.
B.This Lease may be terminated by either party after a minimum 150 days' written
notice of an intention to do so. By the effective date of the termination, Tenant will
remove all of its equipment from the Premises at its sole expense. If Tenant does not
remove its equipment from the Premises by the effective date of the termination,
Tenant may not enter the Premises except upon written authorization of the Landlord,
and Landlord may remove the equipment and invoice Tenant for the costs, which
Tenant shall pay with in thirty (3) days of receipt.
