II. DISCUSSION – UTILITIES AND STREET RESTORATION
A. DEVELOPER
1. Discuss trench restoration requirements in Main Ave South. Proposed detail will follow.
2. Discuss City schedule to complete their water line work.
3. Discuss street restoration coordination. Is all restoration to be completed at one time? Need clarification if there will be two contractors completing the restoration (City’s and
Cosmos).
4. Traffic detector loops were cut during the water line installation at South 3rd. Pat Miller indicated that he will contact Renton Signal Operations and Maintenance to determine if
an optical system can be installed in lieu of replacement of the loops. Need clarification as to direction.
Response from Eric Cutshall, City Transportation Maintenance on 10.22.15. Nine traffic loops were cut. Cost estimate is approximately $7,000.00 to replace the existing loops. The difference
is around $ 600.00 to install video over loops. City request to install video detection rather than replacing traffic loops.
B. CITY
1. Whose traffic control plan will the City be working under during the transfer of water services and street restoration in Main Ave S.?
2. Looking ahead to Main Ave street restoration. Will Main Ave require full closure of the street to complete restoration?
3. Update as to when the alley is to be reopened?
