AMENDMENT NO. 2 TO AGREEMENT FOR THUNDER HILLS
SANITARY SEWER INTERCEPTOR REPLACEMENT PROJECT -
DESIGN AND CONSTRUCTION SERVICES
CAG-16-108
THIS AMENDMENT, dated August 1, 2017, is by and between the City of Renton (the "City"), a
Washington municipa( corporation, and St�ntec Consulting Services, Inc. ("Consultant"), a New
York corporation. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this Amendment as
the "Parties." Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as of the last date
signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-16-108, dated
June 23, 2016, to provide necessary services for the Thunder Hills Sanitary Sewer Interceptor
Replacement Project, — Design and Construction Services (referred to herein as the
"Agreement");

Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change tL�e scope of work and cfiange
the compensation in order to meet WSDOT and Army Corp of Engineer permitting
requirements.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-16-108 is amended as follows:
1. Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit
A-2, which is attached and incorporated herein, to cover additional permit work
associated with WSDOT and Army Corp of Engineer permits and easement preparation.
2. Compensation: Section 6, Payment, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased from $396,192 to $417,892, plus any
applicabte state and local sales taxes. The additional compensation shall be paid based
upon Work actuaily performed according to the rate(sy or amounts specified in Exhibit
A-2 which is attached and incorporated herein.
3. All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.
IN WITNESS WHEREOF, the Parties have valuntarily entered into this Agreement as of the date
last signed by the Parties below.

SCOPE OF SERVICES
City of Renton
Thunder Hills Sanitary Sewer Interceptor Replacement Project
CAG-16-108 Amendment No. 2
Stantec Consulting Services Inc.
CHANGE ORDER DESCRIPTION AND PURPOSE
The purpose of the Change Order is to provide for additional work associated with
WSDOT and Army Corps of Engineers permits, additional survey work, and additional
easement legal and exhibit preparation.
SCOPE OF SERVICES AND TASKS
This scope of services consists of additional work required under the following tasks:
Task 201 Surveying / Easement Exhibits
The overall easement documentation effort was more involved than initially scoped.
Stantec has researched and prepared 31 exhibits; 16 more exhibits were needed than
originally scoped.
Additional survey data was also requested by the City under this task.
Task 203 PermiHing
The permitting for this project involves obtaining an Army Corps of Engineers Nationwide
Permit. As this is a federal permit, an additional review by DAHP is triggered. The DAHP
submittal requirement includes a Cultural Assessment Report. Stantec has reviewed the
additional work required to perform the cultural resources survey, which included the
following tasks:
• Site/Background Research
• Utility Locates
• Site Survey 8� Recording
• Report 8� Figure Preparation
Additionally, WSDOT is requiring the City to engage in a new franchise agreement.
They are allowing a variance to the franchise to be submitted for the Thunder Hills
project. There will be additional document preparation as well as coordination
associated with the franchise variance permitting beyond what was originally scoped.
COMPENSATION FOR SERVICES
The total compensation for this Engineering Change Order is $21,700, and is broken
down below by task:
