Include 8’ wide planting strip between sidewalk and curb
Smaller planting strips should contain street trees and shrub or other groundcover plants (eg. Turf)
Planting strips smaller than 36” to 24” wide should contain only shrubs or other groundcover plants (eg. Turf). Consider hard surfacing where the planting strip will be less than 24
inches wide.
Place sidewalks against the private property line
All landscaped areas shall be irrigated.
Protect all trees to remain with a fence-barrier; protection shall remain until project is 100% completed
City to decide the final street tree selection and spacing by substantial completion of contract
Landscaping within the street right of way shall be maintained for one year using funds provided by PW Transportation. During that period CS shall maintain the landscape improvements
as well as fund year two and beyond using its landscape maintenance contractor.
Filterra plants shall be placed a minimum of 40 feet from any drive opening or street intersection to prevent sight distance issues.
