NARRATIVE
Within the city limits of Renton/King/WA I responded to a 2 car hit and run crash at SW 43rd St at
Oakesdale Ave SW.
I contacted the driver of unit 2 who told me he was westbound in lane one at about 35 mph when he
was hit from behind by a Uhaul truck. Unit 2 told me that the truck didnt just hit and drive off, but
continued to push through him until he was starting to spin out in the intersection. He confirmed it
wasnt just the impact of the collision it but more of an intentional hit and push. Unit 2 was notable to
provide any additional information ref unit 1. Possibly a black male driver wearing a hat and no plate
info on uhaul truck. Unit 2 did not complain of injury and damages did require a tow truck.
During this investigation Tukwila PD had a similar crash-Hit and Run with a Uhaul no plate that
appeared to have intentionally side swiped a Subaru. TP230005842
The witness provided little information and the incorrect location/position/contact between unit 1 and
2.
UPDATE: Holman Trucking emailed a short video captured by one of their semi truck drivers. It
shows the Uhaul crashing/pushing unit 2 across a portion of the intersection. I emailed a copy to unit
2 for his insurance.
UPDATE: On 3/8/2023 at about 1014 hours Renton Officers were dispatched to a Uhaul truck that
ran into a persons yard and was stuck. When unit arrived they located a Uhaul with damage on the
front that appeared to be recent. Officer Lane told me this was possibly the Uhaul in involved in my
H/R and Tukwila PD H/R shortly after mine.
Unit 1 driver was ID'd by her matching picture WADL as Clark, India B 07221991.
On scene units had the driver/Clark in the back of a police Tahoe in handcuffs. She had been read
Miranda. When I asked her about the crash she told me that she was driving the Uhaul earlier this
morning and was running low on fuel, which made her"In a hurry". She told me unit 2 changed lanes
into her and that after she collided she didnt want to run out of gas so she continued to another gas
station, where ever her GPS was going to take her.
I reminded her she crashed in an intersection with a large posted/marked gas station. She literally
could have pulled into the parking lot just feet away from the crash. She told me she was going to
Tukwila for gas, got gas and came right back to the scene. She said she when she got back to the
crash scene everyone was gone/unit 2.
She told me that her phone would clearly show her routes in her drive history. She gave me
permission to retrieve her cell phone and then began to walk me through it. Eventually she said if I
un-handcuffed her she could provide the information easier. She showed me a list of places she had
been and routes she took. She did explain she had driven passed the Ikea, very close to the crash
scene. She said she didnt cause the crash that unit 2 changed lanes into her, she said the little black
car. (Black Mazda suv)
Watching the video appears that unit 1/Clark intentionally hit unit 2 and pushed him with no other
attempt to stop or avoid. Rather remained on the throttle pushing unit 2 until he spun out of her way
as she merely speed away. This is wilful and wanton disregard for unit 2 and for her own safety and
property as well as others in the immediate area. Clark intentionally fled the scene for fear of running
out of gas, but drove to Tukwila where she's under investigation reference a similar hit and run crash
with what appeared to be interactional contact with another moving vehicle.

NARRATIVE
The route history was what she had described with maps on her phone showing where she had
recently traveled. I told her I saw the video of the crash. She told me she didnt want to run out of gas
and left the area after the crash. She told me she rented the Uhaul and that everything inside of it is
all hers and her sons, everything she owns is in the truck.
Clark was eventually booked for other local charges. I filed Hit and Run attended and Reckless
driving charges via complaint with Renton Prosecutors office.
Uhaul arrived on scene and recovered the truck which was overdue for return.
