CALMING LOCATIONS CAG-22-121
THIS AMENDMENT, dated for reference purposes only as May 25, 2023, is by and between the
City of Renton (the “City”), a Washington municipal corporation, and Perteet Inc. (“Consultant”),
a Washington Corporation. The City and the Consultant are referred to collectively in this
Amendment as the “Parties.” Once fully executed by the Parties, this Amendment is effective as
of the last date signed by both parties.
Whereas, the City engaged the services of the Consultant under Agreement CAG-22-121, dated
April 25, 2022, to provide necessary services for the 2022-2023 Traffic Calming Locations
(referred to herein as the “Agreement”);
Whereas, the Parties wish to amend the Agreement to change the scope of work, and change the
compensation in order to provide design support during construction and provide record
drawings (as-builts) for Project Site 1: Lake Washington Boulevard N from Burnett Avenue N to
Houser Way N.
NOW THEREFORE, It is mutually agreed upon that CAG-22-121 is amended as follows:
1. Scope of Work: Section 1, Scope of Work, is amended to add work as specified in Exhibit
A-2, which is attached and incorporated herein.
2. Compensation: Section 4, Compensation, is amended so that the maximum amount of
compensation payable to Consultant is increased by $15,466.00 from $137,143.00 to
$152,609.00, including any applicable state and local sales taxes. The additional
compensation shall be paid based upon Work actuallyperformed according to the rate(s)
or amounts specified in Exhibit B-2,which is attached and incorporated herein.
3.All terms of the Agreement not explicitly modified herein shall remain in full force and
effect and such terms shall apply to Work performed according to this Amendment as if
fully set forth herein.

Gen e r al
This Amendment adds construction support services for Project Site 1:
1.La k e Wa s hin gt on Bou l ev ard N from Burnett Avenue N to Houser Way N
Consultant’s services will be limited to those expressly set forth herein. If the service is not specifically identified herein,
it is expressly excluded. Consultant will have no other obligations, duties, or responsibilities associated with the
project except as expressly provided in this Agreement.
Transferring Budget within Contract Maximum: The level of effort is specified in the scope of services. The budget
may be transferred between discipline tasks at the discretion of the Consultant, provided that the total contracted
amount is not exceeded. The Consultant will have the flexibility to manage budget within a given discipline on a
subtask level.
Services provided by the Consultant will consist of:

The initial Scope of Services describes the work elements to be accomplished by the Consultant as summarized under
each Task. The scope consists of the following elements:
Task 1 – Project Management
Task 2 – Field Work and Basemapping
Task 3 – Traffic Calming Analysis
Task 4 – Public Outreach
Task 5 – Lake Washington Boulevard (LWB) Final Design
The initial Scope of Services is modified by this Amendment No. 2 as defined in the tasks below. Unless otherwise
noted, all deliverables will be PDF filetypes.

Task 5 is supplemented with the following:

At the City’s request, the Consultant will provide engineering support for design changes and other professional
engineering services. This may include providing new or revised Contract Drawings, Special Provisions, Quantity
Estimates, and other related engineering services during the construction process. The Consultant will prepare design
changes, which may be published as field directives, change orders, or other mechanism as directed by the City.
The Consultant will visit the construction site to evaluate each potential design change at the City’s request. Up to
two Consultant team members will complete each site visit.
The Consultant project manager and lead engineer will attend the pre-construction meeting and weekly meetings in
person during the construction phase. The Consultant will print up to five copies of the reduced plans and contract
specifications packages for the project and distribute those at the pre-construction meeting, if requested.
The Contractor or City inspector will provide redline markups to the Consultant and the Consultant will use those
redlines to prepare record drawings for the project. Record drawings will be prepared and submitted as PDFs and
CAD files will be available if requested by the City.

•The effort required to complete this task will be limited to not exceed the estimated budget amount.
•This Amendment includes up to four construction meetings (including pre-construction meeting) to occur in
Renton.
•The Consultant will not perform inspection/observation services during construction.
•The Consultant will not lead the pre-construction or weekly construction meetings nor will the Consultant
prepare agendas or notes for those meetings.

•Electronic copies of design changes, including Plans, Specifications, sketches, technical memoranda, and
other engineering deliverables as required to support construction.
