NARRATIVE
I parked my car on far end of parking lot after coming back from getting lunch at McDonald's at 9:50 am and I got out of work
at 1:43 pm and walked across the parking lot to my car and then see it was damaged/ rear ended . I go back inside Home
Depot to tell management about the situation, they tell me to go call the police non emergency line while they get Asset
Protection/ Loss Prevention to start looking through the footage of the accident. I call the non emergency line and they tell me
if the cameras get any kind of license plate number from the other vehicle they would start an investigation and if there was
no plate or identifiable evidence of the vehicle, to make a report online to then get a case number to give my insurance
company when make the claim report of the incident and then not thinking it's a fraudulent claim. I went home, went to work
the next day(5-5-23)worked my 8 hr shift then went to see the ap/Ip's to see if they found anything and they have the video of
a big blue pick up truck attempting to reverse into a parking spot next to my car and then the truck reversing into my car
instead and then leaving the parking lot as soon as possible and no license plate could be made out in the security footage.
They save the video of the incident so I can use it if my insurance asks for it when I make my claim.
