leadtotreedecline(girdling)orfulltreefailure(rootgrowthobstruction).Treesthataretoocloselyplantedtogetherwillalsogrowtallerfasterandhaveapoortaperduetothecompetitiontowardslight.Treeswithpoortaperhaveahigherchangeforfailureduetothelacktosupportingwoodinhighwindsorsnow/iceloads.-Drivewaydamage.AlltreesIthisclusterwerecausingsignificantdamagetobothpropertiesdrivewaysandwasthecatalystfortheremovals.Bothdrivewayshaveuplift,cracks,andearlydeterioration.-Gradechange.Thetreeswereplantedwithinseveralfeetofagradechange.lyeseenfulltreefailurewithtreesinsimilarcircumstances.Therootsdon’tgetenoughreachontheretainingwallsideandaresusceptibletofailintheoppositedirection.TREES1-3*Trees1-3sharethesameissueofbeingtooclosetothehouseforalargespecies.Insomejurisdictionsandmypersonaloptiontreescanbetooclosetothehouseandnothaveanyissues.InthiscasealltreeshadseveralissuesthatmadethemHIGHriskremovalsandtheyweretooclosetothehouse.Therewaspreviouslimbfailurethathascauseddamagetothehouseinthisarea.TREES11-13*Trees11-13haveadditionalissuesthattherootsaregrowingaroundtheutilities.Thiscouldhavecauseddamageandcouldhavebeencostlytothecustomers.IRAQFORMDATADBHmeasurementsweretakenfromthegroundandallotherphysicalmeasurementsareUNKNOWNorESTIMATEDbasedonexperience.CONCLUSIONAfterassessingtheareaI’veconcludedthatbothhomeownersmadeagooddecisiononremovingthetreesandthetreeswereaccidentallyirresponsiblyplantedbythepreviousowners.Thecorrectresponseforthisactionwouldbetoremovethetreesandreplacethemwithsmalltomediumsizedtreesifnecessary.Thereplantsshouldbespacedoutcorrectlyandplantedinaspaceoflowtraffic(NOTINSAMELOCATION).ANDREWRAINESPN-7684AU
