INTER-AGENCY LEASE AGREEMENT
ASSIGNMENT
THIS AGREEMENT is made and entered into this 1 day of Ju1v , 2016,
by and between the CITY OF RENTON "City," and the RENTON REGIONAL FIRE
AUTHORITY "RFA."
RECITALS
1. On April 26, 2016, voters within the jurisdictions of the City and King County Fire
Protection District No. 25 ("District") voted to create the RFA in order to provide fire
protection, emergency medical and life safety services, and approved the Renton Regional
Fire Authority Plan ("RFA Plan") which sets forth how property will be distributed between
the RFA and City. The RFA came into existence and became effective on July 1, 2016.
2. Pursuant to the RFA Plan, the City and the RFA have entered into a long term Ground Lease
for the Fire Station No. 11 site.
3. The City previously granted a lease to King County for King County Medic One for a portion
of Station 11 as identified in an Inter-Agency Lease Agreement dated March 20, 2012 a copy
of which is attached as Exhibit A. "Inter-Agency Lease."
4. The RFA has the right to sublease portions of Station 11 far purposes related to the RFA's
use of Station 11.
5. The presence of King County Medic One at Station 11 is consistent with the purposes of the
RFA and provides a benefit the citizens served by the RFA.
AGREEMENT
NOW, THEREFORE, in consideration of the mutual premises herein contained, the parties agree
as follows:
1. The City hereby assigns and transfers all its right, title and interest in the Inter-Agency Lease
to the RFA to have and to hold the same effective July 1, 2016, through the remaining term
of the Lease and extensions thereof, subject to all the terms, covenants, conditions and
provisions therein contained.
2. The RFA accepts the Assignment and assumes and agrees to perform all of the terms,
covenants, conditions and provisions of the Lease, as though the RFA were the original
signatory to the Lease.
