This Change Order creates an item to compensate the Contractor for the added costs to procure and install 288 CT fiber optic cabling for the interconnect system instead of the proposed 48 CT fiber optic cabling for the interconnect system. Reason for Change: The plans and specifications required the Contractor to install 48 CT fiber optic cabling for the interconnect system. The City of Renton signal department determined that the future needs of the City exceeded the proposed 48 CT fiber optic cabling and that 288 CT fiber optic cabling was necessary.
