Question: There are 2 spares one is a 4" innerduct the other is a 2", are both of these to get a #8 ground or just detectable pull tape? It is a bit unclear. Answer: Under the wire notes table Sheet #9, the notes state: “All PVC conduits containing conductors shall contain ground wire”. Spare conduits do not contain conductors therefore ground wire in not required, only detectable pull tape. 2. Question: What is the type of innerduct that is being called out on drawing 9 in wire note 2. There are multiple options available, and no spec is called out. Answer: Please follow Standard Specifications, Section 9-29.1(15)C Interduct for Straight Sections of Galvanized Steel Outerduct or PVC Outerduct. 3. Question: Pole 1 on drawing 9 does not show that there isn't any power coming to it. Is there supposed to be wire in the spare pipe to feed this? Answer: Wire note #1 will be changed to #3 on the plan, which will be reflected in an upcoming Addendum #1. Power is provided by the existing service cabinet at S 2nd St per construction note #7. 4. Question: Bid Item #40 (Cement Concrete Curb Access) the second paragraph in the Payment Section 8-14.5 Payment, page SP-120 states: The unit Contract price per each “Cement Conc. Curb Cut Access” shall be full pay including labor, materials and equipment needed for installing the cement concrete curb access as shown on the Plans. Does this mean no other Bid Item such as Asphalt Removal, Concrete Sidewalk Removal, Curb and Gutter Removal, and Crushed Rock Import will be used to complete this work? Answer: The pay limits for Bid Item #40 is graphically shown on Plan Sheet 5, Cement Conc Curb Cut Detail. Asphalt Removal, Concrete Sidewalk Removal, Curb and Gutter Removal, and Crushed Rock Import shall be measured and paid under Bid Item #9, Bid Item #10, Bid Item #11, and Bid Item #12, respectively.
