Assist PACCAR to imbibe due diligence regarding environmental impact to our community, neighborhood, and home. Step up and set the bar. Please provide and enforce a map with alternate driving routes that avoid Meadow Avenue North to contractors, vendors, deliveries, future staff of PACCAR, and anyone involved with this project and future operations. I and the residents on Meadow Avenue North wish no further environmental impacts on our street. Over the past fifteen years, Meadow Avenue North has become heavily impacted by increased road traffic plus increased air traffic passing overhead. Road traffic increases are attributed to The Landing, the new Satori School, PACCAR, and increased apartments in the Landing area and South Port. Meadow Avenue North was never intended to be a commercially driven route. * Make PACCAR provide access to their facility via Sunset and the Landing on 8th; a route through Houser Way North/Marion Street/ Factory Place North; and a route through Logan Avenue North/ North 5th Street; or such route that bypasses Meadow Avenue North entirely. If this takes a Measure or RCW, please do so. * Readdress installing a speed bump. * Install signage that says, “Residential Street Only”. We work very hard on our homes and network together to make this a warm and cohesive collective community that supports the inner core of Renton's values of being a livable city. Set the bar that upholds Renton values as a livable city; a place to learn and grow; a place for families.
